What is the GPSR and does it apply to me?+
The General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 applies since 13 December 2024 to virtually every consumer product sold to EU buyers — including handmade and print-on-demand items, and including sellers based outside the EU. If you list on Etsy, Amazon, eBay or your own store and ship to an EU country, it applies to you.
I sell from the US / UK / Canada — do I really need this?+
Yes — the rules follow the buyer, not the seller. Non-EU sellers actually have one extra obligation: an EU-based Responsible Person must be named on listings and labels. Marketplaces enforce this at listing level, which is why non-EU sellers are the most affected by suspensions.
What exactly do I get for €29?+
A zip with four documents generated for your specific product: a Safety Information Sheet in every language of the EU countries you sell to, a pre-filled Risk Assessment to review and sign, a step-by-step Marketplace Checklist for your channels, and a Label Template with a copy-paste block for your listing descriptions. One purchase covers one product, all languages included, with re-downloads.
Is this legal advice? Am I guaranteed to be compliant?+
No, and we won't pretend otherwise. GPSR Kit helps you prepare compliance documents — it is not legal advice and no tool can guarantee compliance or marketplace approval. You review, adapt and sign the documents; for edge cases, consult a professional. What we do promise: honest, specific, regulation-sourced groundwork that saves you days of research.
What is an EU Responsible Person — and are you one?+
It's a person or company established in the EU who acts as the compliance contact for your products (required when the manufacturer is outside the EU). We are not one and don't pretend to be: your kit includes step-by-step guidance to appoint one, with typical market prices (€200–600/year) and pointers to established providers.
Which languages and countries are covered?+
Warnings and safety information come in 8 languages — English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Polish, Swedish — covering the main EU e-commerce markets. We map all 27 EU countries: if you sell to a country whose language we don't cover yet, your kit flags it honestly instead of pretending.
Which product categories are supported?+
Ten seller categories: toys & children's items, textiles, candles & home fragrance, jewellery & accessories, home décor & crafts, stationery & prints, ceramics & tableware, wood, leather, and craft kits. Cosmetics, electronics and food need different regimes (CPNP, CE/RoHS…) — we detect them and point you to the right track instead of selling you the wrong kit.
How is the kit delivered?+
Instantly. After payment you land on a download page, and the download link is also emailed to you. The link stays valid, so you can re-download the kit later.
What if I update my product, or sell many products?+
The €29 pack covers one product. If you iterate often or manage a catalogue, the Pro plan (€19/month or €149/year, ~25 products with regeneration and regulatory updates) is built for that — it's launching soon and you can join the waitlist on the pricing page.
